Bent my Fit today...

2012 with 7500 kms. First snowfall and I clipped a curb in a residential area.

Rear passenger tire now has a deg or two of toe out...

:(

Going to attempt to pull it straightish so I can drive on it for two weeks till my next pay cheque, then probably replace the torsion arm myself.

:(

THAT SUCKS! Here in Montreal, we haven't even really gotten below 0 yet. I remember I clipped a curb with my 1994 Saturn SL1 crapmobile and I cracked a hubcap but didn't mess up my alignment too bad.

There's another thread going on about how snow tires are a waste of money  I'm guessing you had them on already or perhaps haven't gotten around to it yet... I feel your pain!

Those are my winter tires! Blizzak LM25's. They are on their last winter but there wasnt any deep snow... Just hidden ice under fresh powder on a residential corner.

Looks like its a $700 part that will probably need to be ordered in... Im probably just going to replace it myself.... le fuu

Thanks guys! I got a complete rear beam w/drums I think and maybe more off a Base/DX Fit without the sway bar from a 2010 with 25k kilometers for $400 from a local auto wreckers.

Going to pick it up tomorrow. From what I saw on my sport rear torsion bar the sway bar thats OEM is welded into the beam. May look at either removing it and having my welder friend weld it into the new beam.

OR I may take the rear beam and see if a shop can straighten it. May look at trying to modify it for camber in the rear too...

Either way I'll try and take a few pictures of the swap tomorrow and document the differences between the two rear arms. I did a part number search with a dealer today and they both are the same except the last -XXX #s. I think that just means the sway bar welded into the beam.

And realistically the location of the stock sway bar looks somewhat less useful then the aftermarket solution you guys buy. Which may sorta work out in the end as I will purchase one anyways and if I can fix my beam ill put the aftermarket sway bar on it...

Ill make a thread in the suspension area later guys!

I did the same thing but to the front passenger wheel. I brought it to 3 different places replaced the lower control arm but it's still out of alignment. I have a feeling I bent the subframe. Hopefully I'll find the root of the problem.
