2009 Fit Base-RPM's
We just got a Honda Fit and love it. It's an automatic 2009 base trim and is treating us very well. However it seems to rev high (up to 4ooo rpm's)before shifting into overdrive.
Does anyone know if this is common due to the engine size, etc? Would changing the plugs and fuel injector help? If so what are the best parts for those two jobs on a 2009 base trim? Thanks so much! |
WOw sounds like the gearing of a manual trans model. My Fit Sport AT sits around 2500rpm at 70mph.

2009 Fit base, rpm's
Many thanks for the feedback. Just getting used to the car and it's engine.

The Fit engine loves to rev. It's small, and that's where the power lives. The automatic will downshift and rev at the slightest demand for power. Don't worry, enjoy the zip.
