Headlight protection and, bulbs advice.
Hello,
I am considering changing the front bulbs to make my Fit, cosmetically interesting. I have been looking at for following: Fog: 09-11 Honda Fit Fog Light Protection Kit Head light: 09-13 Honda Fit Headlight Protection Kit However, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them? 1) Ease of installation 2) Durability 3) Does it stain the headlight over time? In addition, I was wondering if bulbs would be more just or in combination with the films. 1) Which headbulbs (no HID). 2) Which Fog light bulbs (nothing that will be too high on melting the wires/plastic off the headlight). How are the Luminics or Nokyo on the Fit? I presume a higher gauge wiring harness/adapter would be ideal too? What about DRL or this site? http://store.ijdmtoy.com/H1-H3-H4-H7...Bulbs-s/58.htm Any suggestions would be appreciate and white GE8 pics (mine if TW). Thanks! |
I just purchased a pair of headlight armor film as opposed to bulbs.
Reason: I was afraid of burning or creating burnt marks on the fogs. However, now I am considering changing the bulbs too... wouldn't that be x10 the yellowness? LOL Overall, I went with the film because, it would protect the lens. I did notice some roughness or grains last night so, I purchased the film. Any advice on film issues? However, I def. don't doubt the bulb being brighter and more refined. |

I think they all the modern generation of films are all pretty advanced. They all have UV protection and won't yellow for a significant amount of time. As far as ease of installation, i have no personal experience. but this is more of a factor of the complexity/curvatures of the headlight rather than the film, and the turn signal bump doesn't help. XPEL says for the honda headlight this is a 5star difficulty rating aka experts only. http://www.xpel.com/products/headlig...&submodel=4255 |
