Air Filters

WallyWorld does not list any air filters for the Fit (either cabin or engine). Would these be the same as a Civic by chance? I believe the stock items at Wally World are Fram filters.

Thanks

without looking up part numbers for each, I can't say for sure, but I'm 95% sure they are different.

Amazon is a good source of aftermarket filters.

.

edit: these are for the '09 through current year Fit. If you have an '08 check for that year (different generation).

no civic filter fits the fit!

another model, another filter.

I avoid helping FRAM products sell.

average price for our 09+ filters is $25-40, with performance filters $40-55 dpending on brand

No, a drop in performance filter will not make a noticable difference. Having an entirely aftermarket intake will make a difference though! DIY style is cheap! I did mine for $15, it was 2.5in coupler and 2.5in filter, along with cutting of factory MAF tube (09+, 07-08 no MAF tube to worry about)

I had my wife go to Wally World the other day to pickup some filters for our new Fit and to my surprise they didn't have any like you discovered.

I just ordered the Pentius PHB6080 cabin air filter from Amazon for $13.74. I also ordered the Fram CA10650 air filter from Amazon for $16.10. I have no idea if these are any good, these will be my first filters.

Ok...once again, how do I tell if I have a GD or a GE?

Sorry if I am in the wrong section.

They are entirely different cars.

07-08 in the US = GD
09+ = GE

"GD3- is the chassis code for 07-08 USDM Fits
GE8- is the chassis code for 09+ USDM Fits"
From the FAQ:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...fit-lingo.html

The way I remember is that GE comes after GD in the alphabet so I know GE cars are later cars
