Q: Will these SNOW tires/wheels fit Fit

Hi all,

2010 Fit Sport here in Crested Butte, CO. Yes, That's at 9,000 feet where we get 300+ inches of snow/year. I got the fit as a work commuter and it's great during the non-snowy time of year getting 40+ mpg hwy. We even cart our bikes/kayaks around on it.

Anyways, driving it with stock tires on hilly snow/ice is terrifying to say the least. We still have a CRV and wife used to have a subie so we are used to good snow cars. From reading forums here it seems that Fit's snow performance improves vastly with a set of smaller wheels and snow tires. My question to you experts and tech savvy owners is 1) is the above true and 2) will this affordable used set of snow steelies/tires fit the Fit? I kinda suck at specking this out so just wanted to check with you all before I buy and take thme in - Snow tires / Four 195/60-R15 on wheels

Thanks so much for any/all help.

HC

No. Unfortunately Ford Focus uses 4x108mm lug pattern, your Fit uses 4x100mm.

The tire size is perfect though.

Shoot, well that answers that.

As a follow up, I have seen recommendations that others have provided on other threads (in terms of snow wheel/tire combos and where to get) but if anyone has addtional recs to add or repeats, I would love to get opinions on best options.

Also - in relation to TMPS - is the adjustment "necessary" or just nice in order to eliminate the light being on. i.e. - if I am okay with the TMPS light being on for 5 months while I have the snows on, will it damage the vehicle? Should it revert when I have normal tires but back on? Perhaps to save $ I should just have the gage adjusted then.

Thanks again,

HC
