Unhappy How tall are you??? 2009 Honda fit driver seat

So i'm about to buy a 2009 honda fit soon. I test drove a 2007 and i felt like the seat was a bit low...i'm 5'5" and i was wondering of the seat in the 2009 is higher at all? or even if the dash is lower. Im used to driving a 2010 CRV and i love the height of the seat. Just wondering if there are any other short fit drivers out there and if you can comfortably see over the dash! THANKS

I'm about your height and I don't have any problem seeing over the dash of my 2012 Fit Sport, which is a GE like the one you are considering. The steering wheel is adjustable in mine, and that helps. But I find the seat height to be just about right.

i'm 5"3 and i have no problems. i can't see the bumper. i misjudge the distance of the bumper from the car in front's bumper all the time often too far away. i think its just because the nose is shorter than my honda accord. but i think everyone has the same issue.

The seats in the Fit are mega high, that was something that always bothered me personally.

My 5'4" GF could see out of my Fit just fine.

As for whether the GE is any different, I have no idea; I'm 6' so it doesn't bother me.

My mom kept us gluten-free and no sugared cereal so maybe that's why.

But I can still see out just fine.

Compared to a CR-V, the seats are lower to the ground. That's true for pretty much any car.

It's not possible to see anything beyond the windshield wipers on the Fit, no matter how tall you are. That's simply because the Fit has a comparatively stubby, slopey hood and a looong dashboard. You do get used to it after awhile. In terms of seeing things in front of you on the road, I really don't think that would be too much of a problem in practice; probably the best way to compare would be to measure how far away you can see something while sitting in your CR-V and while sitting in a Fit. I suspect it's actually not all that big of a difference, though I may be wrong.

I have a '10 Sport. At 5'6, the seating position is just about right. I do tend to sit a little further back, so it's a bit more of a reach for the steering wheel. The only other complaint I have is having to look around the "A" pillar.

My 5'0 stepmother has driven my car, too, and other than not being able to see the hood, she had no complaints.

My wife frequently drives my car, too. She's the same height as I am, although a little shorter in the upper body, and also has no complaints about visibility.

I'll give you two pieces of advice: First, as long as you are comfortable with not being able to see your hood, you'll be fine. Second, you'll get used to the driving position and visibility as you drive it.
