3.5mm won't work with android?
Hello, this is my first post here.
I purchased my first Fit, a 2009 non-sport, about 5 hours ago, certified-preowned. I've run into an issue where my girlfriends iPhone will work perfectly with the 3.5mm aux jack, but my HTC One will not. My HTC won't even recognize that there is anything plugged into the headphone jack. Now, I use the same cord for my headphones (wireless with an optional 3.5mm port) and it works just fine with my HTC. Any ideas? |
I have no issues with android and the 3.5mm jack in my car but I'm using amazon mp3 for music playback.
Do you have a case on the phone that may not be allowing the cord to seat all the way? Is the internal volume of the phone turned all the way up with the cord plugged in? |
I have a case on the phone, but as previously said, I have no issues playing with the case/cord/phone when I have it plugged into a different device. It's just with the Fit. And the music comes out of the phone, because it doesn't even recognize anything as being plugged in.

I would try a different cable or make sure both ends are fully plugged in. I haven't had any issues with my HTC Onx X+ or my older HTC Inspire with my Fit's 3.5mm jack.

I've had no issues with an S3, note 2, and note3

so your phone and cable work with the headphones, the cord works with your girls iphone and honda, but your phone doesnt work with the honda?
You must not have had it plugged in all the way somehow, how else would the cable work perfectly otherwise? the radio cant tell what is plugged in, it just wants to get a signal to play audio. |

i dont usually plug my phone to the aux jack since i have BT, but ive tried it with my droid and it worked fine.

I have the exact same phone and verything work for me
|
Have you tried plugging in via the USB cable in the upper glove box & not the aux port?
|
My HTC One works great in the FIT via the 3.5. I do somtimes have trouble with the HTC side of the cable. It can be a bit tough to get it fully seated, especially when the phone is in its case.
I ordered a quality cable from Belkin which has very slim pugs, problem solved. |
