V6 Honda Fit Build
#84
Like base model standard then that would be pretty funny

I love sleeper looks! A V6 Fit (with possible AWD like some Civic AWD) would actually be my dream vehicle for my purposes.

This is a F-Ing crazy project... I Liked it! Im my opinion, the most impressive thing is not the performance it will have after it is finish ( although it will be crazy), but the whole challenge of making all those bigger parts fit into the smaller body of the FIT. I can see how someone with expert mechanical skill want to take up a challenge like that. I would never have the patience, even less the skills!
Personally I would be happy with the civic's 1.8L engine or 155 hp 2.0L in my fit. Still I'm looking forward to see the final result of this totally crazy cars project. ( I do love 6 cylinder, I used to owned old L6 E30 Bmw all manual).
Keep us posted! on this nice work! and Good luck!

PinkBatman,
Where can I find more information about your road racing civics? 1/4 mile times and trap speeds? Any videos of them? The V6 versions specifically.
Also, do you know what their curb weights were and power they had in their engine?
Is this you --->

We don't have a v6 road race car (YET!), but it is in the pipeline. That's not my car.
Here is my v6 sedan with the old ECU and the old bolt ons 0-100.
And the one time we brought her to the strip.
On the coast I would anticipate 12.1 @ 115mph or so on 24.5" slicks. People have had stock j32s deep into the 11s.
This is my sedan without driver
With power windows, locks, mirrors, power steering, full interior. We weighed the last 3.5l and I have already forgotten the weight

Thanks for responding and posting up the videos. I can watch those all day! Can't wait for your results. I keep coming back here.

Finally got some time and motivation to work on this car some more!
Started by getting the main bumper in. Here you can also see the system used to set the lower bar.
Lined the bar up perfectly in the factory tow hook location, will be putting a nut on there to use the stock system.
I wanted to get some mig practice on this project, it turned into grinder practice...
This is the tube that connects into the frame, should be good for the traction bar plans in the future.
All tacked together.
Added these dope hemispheres on the ends, accidentally got too excited and painted the assembly this morning.
Added a front motor mount too.
Had enough of that awful MIG stuff.
Currently waiting on radiator bushings to finish the front end, then on to tackle the wiring and throttle linkage, fuel pump, and some little odds and ends.

Small progress today, getting a little closer everyday.
These are the rad bushings I used on my sedan, I loved them so much I took a photo to show em off.
Had to weld these tabs to sit in the bushings. Aluminum still kills me, but I got pretty lucky on this one and it's not too bad for thin Chinese alloy.
Support tabs.
This is the radiator with the matching AC condenser attached, it's a bit cocked, going to have to tweak the mounts a little.
All those years spent complaining about bending cage bars finally paid off. His this top bar first try. Pretty proud about it too.
Here is the hood latch, going to attach to that same bar.

You should sell tickets to let people watch this build in your garage.
For those of you that are enjoying this build try this one. A guy is more of less fabricating a whole new Mini. He is still not done but just amazing.
