Driving Fit on gravel and dirt roads ?
Anyone driving on unpaved roads here ? Was wondering how the Fit holds up to the wear and tear of country roads. Have had my '13 Fit for two years and have avoided all unpaved roads. But, my situation has changed and was wondering if this vehicle can handle all the dust, mud, snow and anything country roads can throw at it .

I drove my 2010 Fit on many unpaved (dirt) and gravel roads and even one road that was very rocky.
The Fit handles well. On the unpaved roads, I kept speed to a minimum of 20-25 as it was very noisy.
The roads I drove on were all dry--can't say how the Fit would handle in lots of mud.

just make sure you replace your engine air filter and do oil changes much more frequently. I just visited my Fit, seeing it for the first time in 6 months. It is now driven on a dusty road daily. The engine compartment looked like it had aged 10 years; the air filter was filthy and the oil was getting prematurely dark.

I use Fluid Film. It gets in all of the nooks amd crannies. Especially the rear 1/4 areas after blowing out rocks amd dirt with compress air. May be worth a look. I also used ot on the infamous hatch latch with success. Ymmv.
