volume control need

My 2010 Honda Fit doesn't come with volume control on steering wheel. In order to get one, do I really need to purchase one from the dealer with volume control on steering wheel like the upper year model (2011+)? Please help me out. Thank you!

Try searching the inside car electronics forum (ICE) here. There might be a topic already open on this. I suspect it's going to be prohibitively expensive.

There is a topic on here already on how to wire it. I'm gonna do mine during the summer, already got the controls off eBay

I know Crutchfield sells kits with new radio installs that includes steering wheel radio controls. I have no idea what that kit runs normally.

Why do you need one other than looking nice? I find the large knob on radio easy to use without being distracted. I have wheel controls on my Dodge Caravan which I very seldom use as I tend to forget I even have them. Then on other hand I often drive with radios off.

Let me remind ya'll of the bad old days when nobody had steering wheel mounted controls.😂 Trust me your life will unfold fine without them.

Go to the gym. Learn to cook chili. Buy a nice pair of shoes. Whatever else you hoped to do at some point soon :)

That volume knob is a great design feature.......I don't need up down volume controls on the steering wheel.....just wish they lasted longer....but 10 years is pretty good I guess......gonna replace the radio with an OEM model.........I hate digital crap in a car...........
