tanabe touring medallion and T1R b-pipe

so i got my exhaust installed and let me tell ya, its awesome! i wanted to get a full catback exhaust but i didn't see any that i liked, the only exhaust i seemed to like was the touring medallion but that didn't come out to the US for a looooong time, i ordered it in january and i just got it 3 weeks ago and just got it installed yesterday. i picked out the touring medallion cuz i didnt like the hks exhaust look or the t1r exhaust, plus i like how the medallion is a bit quieter. enough of my rambling, here are the pics, thats what everyone ever cares about anyways lol.

this was when my car was in the install bay and i didnt have a camera

now some better quality pics

IMG_3279.jpg?t=1271444097

and heres a video, the video doesn't really do it justice of how it really sounds though

ive been installing quite a bit of stuff on the car lately, im still waiting on the hood and spoiler, ill make a photoshoot when its all installed and sunny lol
and if anyone wanna do a group buy from group5motorsports, i can probably set up one up my buddy works there and i got a pretty good deal on the touring medallion

That's a badass exhaust, goes so well with that CF diffuser. Your Fit is getting excessively awesome. Has anyone else done the medallion on here?

Not bad, kinda farty without the cat though. I'd put it back in Cars are so stinky without cats anyway.

How big is that tip? 4 inches? I like how it fits snug against the bumper, doesn't stick out a lot, and overall isn't too flashy. I'd prefer one just a tad smaller though.

it has the cat, its a cat-back exhaust, and it only sounds a bit farty cuz its a bit cold, hasn't warmed up yet, ill make another video with the engine fully warmed up

Oh I'm sorry, I thought the b pipe made it catless. I'm sure the fartyness will go away after it's broken in. It's a brand name exhaust.

he gave it to me at cost plus shipping, which was $315, but i wont be able to give that same deal to everyone if we were to do a group buy, more like $340 ish, cant really quote me on that, but if we get a group buy going i can get a definite price for everyone

You should see it in person!! It's sexy as f*ck. The exhaust even sounds better in person. Really quiet. One of nicest GE's at the meet! Well, I think there were only a few fixed up GE's but definitely, Chris' fit is a looker

Chris, hit me up on that Tanabe exhaust bro. Actually thinking of buying the Megan's now after seeing your car and Chucks car

geeze I am extremely envious of your fit. Looking (and sounding) great. Best wheels on a GE I've seen, too. +rep

is anyone interested on doing a group buy for the exhaust at all?, i talked to my friend he said he could do one, the price is gonna depend on the amount of people, but it will be a better deal than anything you will find online

ditto on the tip size, even my 3.8L v6 (or the 4.6l V8 for that matter) tbird wouldn't need 3inch pipes, even under boost, and even with a Y pipe, so why make it look like the car has 3" exhaust? Honestly, it actually looks really cool but I would get tore a new one if I did it (midwesterners are vicious against rice, hell, some union workers will throw their door into yours just for driving a japanese make, but oddly no hate for european cars...). So maybe I'm just jealous
