Your car won't last driving it like that, that totally tells a story on how you drive.

It's a trick!!! He probably JUST got gas and has driven less than 1KM with hard acceleration.

Am I right?

That could be true, but how do you explain the 15% oil @ 2440

Oh my! I do often get low 20 mpg around here local because of all the steep hills and having to really step on it to get up them.

Illinois just raised the minimum speeding ticket fine from $75 to $120. It's your car, but…

Yup... I've only done one oil change and at this point, with over 17K on the odo, I'm at 40% by the time Evil gets to this point, he'll have done7 oil changes.

As long as he has been on these boards that the car has much more than 2440 miles on it...

The 15% oil picture probably came much later in its life...

Now how is the oil life calculated?
Does the life go down when the car is just sitting around?

Perhaps the Fit is a second or third car that just doesn't get driven often...
unlikely...

Just punishing the poor more. I'm not rich but I do try to save a little money on the side so $120 is a small inconvience and wont even remotely deter me. I can abuse the hell out of the court supervision system between different counties and keep the tickets from sticking and keep my license and insurance rates. But for the single mom with 2 kids that had to speed to get to work on time to keep her job, that's the difference between groceries or not for a week and she's probably far too uninformed to know how to keep it off her record. So me, the big bad mean insurance agent, will have to notify her of the extra $175 she'll have to pay the company every year for the next 3 years.

An appropriate quote:

"Lo! there is neither riches nor greatness in our littleness: the road to riches and greatness is through robbery of the poor and slaughter of the weak." So they robbed their own poor until they became great masters of that art, and knew by what laws it could be made to appear seemly and honest. And when they had squeezed their own poor dry, they robbed the poor of other lands, and added those lands to Rome until there came a new Rome, rich and huge. And I, Ra, laughed; for the minds of the Romans remained the same size whilst their dominion spread over the earth."

I wish I could say that those pictures are fake... but they're not they are what it is. I still have to bring it to the dealer for service and see what they say about it.
Maybe my Fit's line of work explains everything??? Let's try to see...

Work environment: medical field
Type of work: physical therapy (home care)
Number of visits: 12-15 per day (Mon-Thurs)
Area coverage: (no highway drive, all local with frequent stop and go... A/C is seeing alot of use)

Given all those... would my line of work justify what is reflected on the FIT's computer???

Just imagine how things would be if I hadn't bought the fit and only has the Crosstour to do the work.
What gas money I save for not using the crosstour literally pays the monthly due for the FIT.

I guess you triggered it so early that it doesn't even recommend rotating the tires. Even the EXTREME condition interval is more than 5000 miles.

I was estimating around 3-4K miles as I was on 30% oil life when I hit 2K miles. Does the frequent turning ON and OFF of the engine have drastic effect on oil life?

Yes to both of the above quotes. Short trips (and you have REALLY short trips) are harder on engines than a 10-15 minute cruise. it takes 5+ minutes for the engine really to warm up and if you are not really ever even making it to 5+ minutes, the engine is working harder and harder.

Regular heating & cooling of anything is harder on the "item" than maintaining a constant temperature. (compare roads in New england vs those in Fla. - Paving happens every few years up here - it's due to severe temperature differences)

I'd recommend going synthetic as your daily routine is almost as hard on a car as autoXing it on a regular basis.
