USDM Custom Amber Cluster

Been thinking about it and finally got around to actually doing it. Could've picked up a JDM cluster, but i dunno.. I like to experiment and this is the outcome. Let me know what you guys think, hopefully this helps you guys as well!

P.S. Took pictures during the day so its a bit hard to see the complete lighting of it.

its actually quite a mission to get this done.. and i wanted to make it easier on you guys because there's a blue film behind all of the gauges where the ticks are. so I'm making a kit for you guys if theres interest and then i'll post a DIY to go along. Kit would come with the amber film cut to fit and LED's. Bulbs aren't part of this, you're going to need to solder. Also i'll probably offer to do it if anybody doesn't solder and know how to. I'll keep you guys posted.

Here's a preview if there's interest for the amber kit. (this is what i mean by the film...

holy s#*t, this is awesome!
i like my blue A LOT but this is sick! is there a way to change the gradient blue in the center? (sorry my fit is in Cali and i don't remember if it is blue without the lights on??)
i say you sell your services, get an extra cluster from a salvage fit and alter it and keep it on hand and just require people to send their cluster to you, then the down time would be lessened <---is that a word - LOL

you should do the three L E D's on the gas guage green (top) yellow (middle) red (bottom) that would be bad ass

I thought about it... it might be possible but i'm not sure because the way the ticks are lit are through one LED and it reflects off a plastic piece inside and shines pretty much... so it's difficult to have it multi-colored

I will pay you to make a kit or what ever you need to do short of me sending you my cluster to get this done! This is the mod I've been wanting since I saw the jdm cluster. Now if only we could make those center pieces match.

Vtecfit1 had a great suggestion on the gas lights. I'm guess if we are buying the bulbs you could do that on your own correct?

sounds good, we'll work something out, pm me your number or something so we can keep in touch! The gas gauges are going to be realllly tough because the tick marks are lit individually. They all share one surface mounted led that reflects off a plastic mount and shines everything the same color if you kinda get what i mean...?

Yeah I gotcha, after thinking about it I would like it more if they didn't light up till the needle got near them and that wouldn't be easy to set up. And I'll pm you my #.

Another option is to leave the Speedo in blue?

Hmm would be nice to have a speedo with only one set of numbers. Either metric or imperial.
