One I ordered

So for $60, you get a larger, more comfortable armrest, that slides forward in place of the standard, low fold down in the sport.

That sucks to hear... mine was sent somewhere else by accident, but the USPS says they are working to fix it- per tracking.

The seller wrote me back when I enquired, his CS was superb, supplied me with more than enough info... very nice.

I grew up in Boca, enjoy the drive!

Just got mine, put it together in 2 minutes and just dropped in the car pockets/cup holders. I wont add any addition set screw yet, in case I dont like it.

Going to work tnite will be the 1st test- ill let you know what I think after the drive and get some pics too.

My 1st impression are, for 60$ it's good enough. it looks nice, feels... inexpensive... looks like it rides a little high but we'll see. And doesnt look out of place in a grey colored Base.

Very cool.

Is it secure without the set screw? Is it the same one like DennisCTC's?

Thanks.

Yup, just like dennisCTC's. It's secure for resting your elbow on it, but any pushing or pulling mostion would prob snap it right off the screws. I kinda like how it's easily removable though- as i've gotten used to not having one. Time will tell.

When I fist got in the car I thought about the post where someone felt trapped b/w it and the door, bc it does ride high... but it was super comfy to just rest my elbow/forearm on it tnite. I slid it fwd a notch so it would be easy quick to open. When it's slid back all the way there isnt much to grap onto.

All in all, i'm happy with the 60$ spent. The seller was top notch. If it breaks will I replace it? Prob not.

Also, for the ppl that like using their E brake for fun- this could get in the way- but for normal M/T E brake use, it's not hard to get to.

Hope this helps- ill take some pics next day off.

Just got home from worl- ill take some pics when I wake up.

Update: the high riding position of it is great- now that i've tried it, I dont think i'd wanna be without one... whether it's this one or the OEM. Make the drive more relaxing. Warning though, I have 1/2 ass shifted a few times bc I dont use as much arm motion/power... kinda just pushed it fwd by moving my wrist.

Anyway, so far so good. Skip Starbucks or beer for a few weeks and try one.

Do most of you all have the Sport model with the arm rest already installed? If so, how hard is it to get the installed rest out to put an aftermarket one in? I use an arm rest, but I also like the fact that the after markets are wider and have storage. If you take off the original, what kind of hole is left in the seat?

I'm going to be picking up my 2012 sport AT this afternoon

The factory arm rest is really easy to take out. No big deal. Don't worry about it. And congrats on your new purchase!

My armrest from Zeta came with a " removal kit" to plug up the hole from the driver seat armrest. I think you might be able to buy the "armrest removal" kit separately from Honda or Zeta Products.

The OEM armrest comes with a cover for the old armrest hole. You can see it on the collegehills instructional video on youtube.

I'm glad someone else does that....

I'm new to the aftermarket market. What is Zeta? Are they a good or better substitute for actual Honda OEM stuff? How does their armrest, and other stuff for that matter, compare with what I would buy from the dealer?

Zeta Products sell some quality aftermarket accessories, less expensive & some are better than oem Honda. They advertise on this forum.

The Zet one I have is pleather (vinyl of some sort). The only difference between base & sport interior is the color. Also you don't have to remove the driver seat armrest to install a better one.
The oem Honda may be leather

Well freaks... my $60 armrest has now broken for the 2nd time, after my 20lbs puppy put its front paws on it to stand up. It's not worth the effort of more time and superglue, so I'm going back to the original armrest.
