My '09 Honda Fit has been making this loud screeching noise almost since I got the thing used 4-5 years ago. As for where it's coming from, I think it's either my right side wheel or under my hood, it's hard to pinpoint where the load metal to metal sounding screeching is coming from. But it's very annoying. The whole neighborhood can hear the damn car and people think i'm trying to race them cause it makes that sound after accelerating from a stop light. But it only happens when accelerating. Usually when I hit 35-40 mph or when I hit 3,000-4,000+ rpm. Doesn't happen when I'm slowing down, at stop signs; only acceleration. It's obnoxious and I don't know what it is; no videos i've seen have the same noise when I look up on YT. Any suggestions though on what it might be? I'll post a video of the sound tomorrow.
