Mobil 1 Synthetic 5 gal jug from Walmart (5w20, but 0w20 during winter) with Honda filter: 15400-PLM-A01 purchased in bulk from online dealer. I typically change between 5K to 7K or when MM shows 15%.

Recent O.C. of Pennzoil Platinum 0w-20 (S.N.) . Previous was same and drained at 8,700+ miles at 30% . All filters used are A02 . Thinking of going with a MOBIL 1 , Pure 1 or a AC Delco oil filter for next interval .

Supertech 5w-20 and L14610. Change it every 6-7k miles regardless of MM. It's cheap so I can justify the shorter oci.

Mobil1 0W-20 Advanced Economy
OEM Honda S2000 Oil Filter
Magnetic Drain plug

I try to do MM intervals to 15-20% or 9k miles, whichever comes first as long as I get 7k miles out of it first.

I run a Zinc additive as well. Seems to have quieted the motor slightly, seems to help whenever I push the car uphill or passing on highway. Else feels same as without.

has anyone tried Liqui Moly? German car owners seem to prefer this or Motul to Mobil 1.

Never seen it on a shelf. Id try it if it has decent zinc and phosphorous content.

I'm starting to get into my own car maintenance with my 08 Fit Sport and see a lot of you use synthetic oil. I'm coming up on 100K, is it a hard process switching from standard oil to synthetic? What are the benefits? Looks like cost evens out, because you can go longer between oil changes. I drive about 14,000 miles a year.

Switching to synthetic won't hurt a thing . Suggest AMSOIL Signature Series 5w-20 or 0w-20 along with a MOBIL 1 oil filter or other of your liking . AMSOIL SAE 0W-20 Signature Series 100% Synthetic Motor Oil .

Here's a used oil analysis for a '09 using Pennzoil Ultra 5w-20 and a MOBIL 1 M1-110 oil filter . Pennzoil Ultra 5w20, 11623 Mi., '09 Fit Sport 1.5l | Used Oil Analysis - Gasoline | Bob Is The Oil Guy . Quite impressive , especially with 3.5 T.B.N. , so could go a another 1,000 miles or more .

ANY synthetic will work, no brand is significantly better then the other

seeing as all 0w-20 oils are synthetic, the choice is pretty much mandatory.

If you beat the ever living daylights out of your car all the time, run a synthetic 5w-30
