Repaint front bumper and Hood

How much have you guys paid to repaint your bumper and hood?
Mine are just really beat from all the highway driving. So no structural damage, just a lot of scratches and a few small dings.

Paint is expensive my friend. That is why paint condition is such a major factor when buying selling a car.

It could be $700-$1500. Most cheap places will just paint on top of the old paint (which is bad) you need to have them prep the surface which involves sanding.

I'm okay with 700. The 1500, not so much. Just wondering if people have done it and :wiggle:

My wife just had the entire front end of her Murano repainted including both front fenders and it ran right at $700. I've used the same shop for paint and body work before and they always do a good job. Just make sure to shop around and see if you can find some referrals.

I've been looking around as well. I have 2 dings on my tailgate & want to do the roof hood & gate black. Most quotes are $259-$300 for dents and about $1000-$1500 for paint (even not being picky about what black).

Prices may be a little cheaper here in Alabama. In the past I've gotten quotes for body and paint work and the dealerships were usually at least twice the shop we use. Other shops weren't quite twice, but much more expensive. Prices can definitely vary widely for any type of auto work!

Good to know... i'll call around and see what happens. The new suspension is coming in first.

You can do the prep work before taking them to a body shop in order to save a few bucks.
