2013 Fit Sport Audio upgrades
 

Hey fellow Fit drivers. I have been a lurker and decided I wanted to participate in the conversation. I am upgrading my HU soon to a Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS. I want to upgrade the speakers and run them off an external amp. My question to you guys is what speakers/amp should I get? I listen to mostly rock/rap/country (weird mix I know), emphasis on rock and rap.

I have been looking at JBL GX602http://www.crutchfield.com/p_109GX60...avf=N&skipvs=T and thinking of pairing them with a Pioneer GM-A6604 http://http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130GMA6604/Pioneer-GM-A6604.html. Crutchfield says the speakers won't fit because the tweeter sticks out to0 far. I however am willing to modify my doors a little to make them work because I loved the way they sounded in the store.

Any suggestions/pro-tips would be amazing. I have lurked through a lot of threads but wanted some more specific suggestions for my setup/needs.

JBL/Infinity are great. Made by Harman. You must use dynamat or the highs will over db the the mid-bass drivers. I have Infinity Kappa components for front and adding kappa components in the rear Since JBL/Infinity are focused towards mids/highs, I'll be adding an 8 sub. I also recommend you do a line output converter like audio control. I plan on doing a 5-chl amp.

BTW, it only takes a whopping 2w RMS to 60w RMS to drive these drivers you're interested in.. I'd install the speakers with dynamat b4 deciding on an amp ASAP. PVT message me or KIK-Parasurfer1979 anytime. I'm a flight instructor so any time im on the ground or after 2000hrs.
