2010 Fit In Dash Tablet Install

I did this project a while back for my fit and just decided I should share it here.
I am sure a lot of people here could make it look a lot cleaner, but this works well enough for me and makes removing the tablet for other use a lot easier.

Tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 with T-Mobile LTE.

I used the Metra double din dash kit, and pretty hackily attached a piece of plexiglass with the ball magnets epoxied onto it for the tablet to mount to.

Then I epoxied the two magnets to the back of a case for the tablet.
These are the steelie magnets, you can get knock off versions of them on Amazon for pretty cheap.

Head unit is a JVC shallow mount head unit, juuuuust fits in the passenger side upper storage compartment. I extended the harness with copper wire, solder, and heatshrink.

Tablet auto connects to the head unit BT when I turn on the car, and I have everything I need right there on my dash!

Hope this helps anyone that has ever considered doing something like this.
