wanna see those pimped 09s...
I'm really jelly. If I could have any color for the Fit that would be it (besides black... sucks the factory black is so terrible).
It's strange your paint failed that way. Mine isn't looking tip top at all though and i'm really disappointed in the quality of the paint itself. I'm going to claybar/polish/wax tomorrow and see if I can make it any better, but i'd much rather just repaint like you are.
I will repaint black with purple boat flakes one day lol

they had a guy from honda corporate come down and look at it, he couldn't believe how bad it was.
i am really impressed with how fast they took care of it tho.
I'm not sure if 2012+ TW fits have changed, but mine is clear coated. I've done aggressive polishing (test area) to see if it was or wasn't, and I've confirmed with zero paint transfer. However, the paint code hasn't changed, and from the multitude of conflicting reports on TW'd Hondas, it really is a hit or miss whether or not you got a SS or DS job.
I'm actually curious, do you have any pictures of it before? And possible tell us what products/tools you used to upkeep your paint?

never use any brushes.
all natural wash mits replaced monthly
expensive chamois
meguiars soap
had it buffed/polished/protected by the body shop i use.
i have some pics of it somewhere. it was bad...... the spots that were the worst were splotchy. looked worse in the evening. the car looked like a spotted cow.
wet sanding/buff/polish in progress.... he polished a small area when i was there just to snag shots.... it's so hard to get pictures of a tiny area - the pictures don't do it justice.
check the hood in the pic (pre wetsand)

wet sanding:

looks so dull wet sanded...can't wait to see it buffed and polished.

not even buffed/polished, yet the blue pearl pops...

All my old beaters' paint was better than the Fit's is. I am never one to be super careful with my paint but i've found out I have to be with the Fit. I figured out pretty fast I can't get away with a drive through wash unless it's a brushless one. I know they're not good but I could always use one in a pinch without much fear with all my other cars.
