555sexydrive Work In Progress
thanks for the insights y'all.
@555 - thanks for sharing. My fit has 16" stock rims. I'm leaning towards 15s for functionality. How much drop do you think is practical for 15s? I dont want to drive sideways on humps hehe.

Mine is lowered about 45~48mm from stock height. If you are going to lower (more than 25mm) and actually drive, don't half-ass it and get RCAs to get the geometry back to a proper angle. I could go lower, but see no point in it, have camber at -2.5 and toe very slightly out up front. Should put more camber in when out on circuit, but the handling feels quite good, can get another -1.5 before needing any camber bolts.
urbanoutfit, that's your opinion, but I completely disagree. The other GE Fits come with 15" wheels, same size wells as the GE8. It looks perfectly fine to my eyes, in other words it looks right and serves a purpose, imagine that?!?! Though to me you seem to be a show queen type, I wouldn't really expect you to grasp the concept of functionality. Those Spoon calipers must be doing wonders in the parking lot. :P
From this late afternoon, took a drive down to the Izu peninsula, the Izu Skyline was a real joy driving down, coming back though, it was pretty wet and fog so thick couldn't see the car in front of you till about 10m away. Anyways, wrapped around onto Rt414 up into Numazu and took these pics, just from the phone.

I took this road a couple years ago and I couldn't for the life of me remember where it was and then I thought maybe my mind was playing tricks on me and the spiral bridge in GT5 I was mistaken for reality.

You are beginning to sound like an old man sd555... I forget things like how to get to places all of the time, it's the only reason I ever use a cell phone... The only reason for the larger sized wheels/tires on cars today is because of the present styling fad... Even with the performance modifications I have spent a great deal of time and money doing to my car, 15"X 7"43mm Enkei RPF1wheels and 195-55-15" Conti Pro Contact tires had the most impressive positive effect on overall performance of any other thing I have done...

With my tanjoubi (birthday) happening on the 7th and being that J's was in town about 12 miles away over in Yokohama, I decided to treat myself to a couple gifts. Part 1 was ordered yesterday actually and will be at least a month before delivery and part 2 was this afternoon. Part 2 serves no purpose except looking good and that of course is all in the eye of the beholder.
Anyways onto a quick few pics of part 2.

It's a bit dark and rainy, so obviously the pics aren't great.

Well being that it was the 4th of July and had the day off from work, woke up and changed the coolant to some J's Cooling Water, Umehara-San gave me 4L worth for my birthday. Was unexpected while I was at the J's sale in Yokohama on Sat and Sun.
Afterwards, took a drive over to Fuji once again as the last time the road I wanted to go up, was still closed in mid-April due to snow/ice. Nothing special really with pics and did take some in-car video, no plans to edit it today though.

These were taken at about 2182m (7160') up. Pretty cool being above clouds, was sunny up there, still had another 220m or so till station 5 on the south side of the mountain. On the way back down the sun disappeared and was greeted to some dense fog.

you finally gave in to the hotness stellarV. the quality and build is worth every penny. tails are really hard to photograph tho and every picture I see of them (including mine) does not justify.
happy bday!!!so... are we gonna see some J's trans led emblem soon?
Grats on the StellarV's. They look really good. Easily the best thing I spent on my car.
LOL. Ask friends/family to drive it around in the lot while you look at it. =)
Yeah, a week early birthday gift to myself. They are nice, just sucks that I can not see them. :P

lololol
Just 17 days I waited for gift #2 to arrive. Received the call last night that it was delivered. After work took my happy ass over to Yokohama and picked it up.

Weighs about 2.4kg (5.3lbs). Not sure how much the stocker weighs yet, but will know later on. I went overboard in getting this particular one with the shit exchange rate, but phuck it, live only once right?
