FITEVO's Progress Thread: Watch my fit evolve...
Hey guys,
I got my 2010 Honda Fit Sport as a project car and I have a lot of exciting modifications planned for it. So, I decided to make a thread that will show my progress as I modify my fit. #1 MOD: Honda Window Visors http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/a...T/IMAG0182.jpg http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/a...T/IMAG0181.jpg http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/a...T/IMAG0183.jpg http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/a...T/IMAG0186.jpg My Honda and my BMW 335i - Looking lonely in the parking lot More to products and pictures to come! -Frank |
Nice man. How much did you get those honda visors for? I'm debating between the mugen ones and these.

I was in the same boat too, but I wasn't feeling that little dent/groove in the mugen visors so I decided to go with OEM. Looks great! |
this thing evolves slower than pokemon. jk nice fit doode.
|
Is that an auto or manual? How much did you paid for your car out the door?

Since my Fit is brand new, I decide to treat her better by getting a mugen visor. Yeah, it costs $150 more but it is worth it. The style is much nicer compared to OEM.

Yeah man, at first I liked the mugens, but then I had to get the replicas because there's no way im spending that much for the authentic ones (even though they are more secure, etc.)

By the way, does anyone know a good paint shop to get my rear diffuser painted in socal? preferably in OC? |
|
Okay I think im confused, I'll report back with my correct numbers when I get home, but I remember OTD w/out tax and registrationg was $16,8XX. Tax and registration came out to almost $1900.
|
Did I pay too much for my FIT?
My Fit is Sport Auto with OTD $19,948.46. Yes, it is expensive. It comes with factory alarm, wheel lock, door edge protection, $25,000 maintenance service (covers 5 oil changes) and I live in CA 9.75% tax rate. Dude.. i am so unhappy about paying so much but I can't resist the beauty of the car.
Wait.. the car sold for $17,044.54. Is that expensive?????? |
FITEVO - does both bmw and fit owned by you? How do you enjoy while having two different cars? The driving style and enjoyment are very different. Can you share your experience with your bmw and fit to us?

The 335i is a lease and the Honda Fit is bought - yes both owned by me. To sum it up: 335i - Very smooth and fast. A little heavy, but it's a good heavy - SOLID. FIT - Very agile and fun. Really light, and it feels good! I can honestly say that the 335i has been one of the best all around cars that I've driven in my life. It's really smooth, has all the comforts you need, and it's pretty damn fast when you mod it (mine was 350whp/370trq) - plus you get free maintenance for 4 years. The downside obviously is the high price for aftermarket parts and small stuff breaking in the car - my fuel pump went out 5 times. But other than that, a great car. As far as the Honda Fit, I've been having a real blast driving it. It's comfy, handles well, has great acceleration for a 1.5 engine, and it has so much room - plus the gas mileage is great. Hope that kinda explains my experience driving both cars. -frank |

It only has 250 miles, so I try not to push too hard on the car. 80% city drive gives me about 32 MPG so far. I am hoping the car can gives me a blast to drive. Once the warranty is over after a few years, I probably will change the suspension to increase the fun factor of the car. As far as comfort, I feel the seat is terrible and easy to get dusty. I am thinking to purchase a leather seat cover which costs about $450. |
