The fit09's Photo Thread

I've been on this board for a while, but I had a name change, so it's time for a new photo thread. These are some amateur shots by me. The JDP vented hood, mugen rep visors, carbon fiber modulo rep spoiler, and CE28n's are the most recent additions. I'm really pretty happy with how my fit is coming along. I'm working on finishing some projectors, installing the JDP lip, and I have some coilovers that I need to install. After that, most of the big stuff is done for a while. I'd still like to get a JDP diffuser and mirrors (once they're ready), and hopefully some FI somewhere down the line once the warranty expires and something is actually developed. Thanks for looking. Comments welcome.

I'm not a fan of carbon fibre hoods, but I must admit this one looks good. Only if it was available in white/light carbon fibre.
great choice on the GD FIT logo too!

Thanks man! The GD logo was mainly chosen for the red accent / carbon fiber / black / silver theme I'm going for.

any other pics of your modulo spoiler? Also, how does well does your rear garnish match with your JDP parts? is the weave fairly close? Your fit is looking exceptionally nice! have you considered blackhousing the headlights or getting base ones?

@Atlfit10 - Thanks for the comments! Here are some better pics of the spoiler and garnish. All the weaves are 1x1. The garnish and hood match perfectly. The weave on the spoiler is a diagonal pattern and the "thread" seems to be wider. I plan to black the housings when I do the retrofit. Have all the parts, just haven't had the time yet!

@bmxman - Couldn't have done it without you, haha. Thanks man.

Great looking fit! Love the gray and cf combo...

Is that a CF rear wiper block off plate/garnish (or whatever you call it?) That is sweet!

What are you lowered on and wheel tire specs? Love the stance. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys!

@drumsauce - The rear garnish had the wiper hole filled in and wrapped with carbon fiber. The job was done by Rogue, he does great work! I am currently lowered on eibach sportlines with 15x7 +40 205/50/15.

I got some coilovers recently and finally finished putting them on today. Shit took awhile because they were made for the GD, but the basic suspension setup was the same. I got a discount from the company that sells them to put them on and see what's different, so all-in-all I think it was worth it.

I decided to be a dumbass and drop it pretty stupid low with some modifications of the coilovers. Not completely stupid low, but I'm scraping frame on some steepish inclines, and I'm rubbing on modest bumps and turns. I like the look of it even if it takes away some functionality, and hell, if I ever go to the track they're fully adjustable.

I know it's not for everyone, and I realize it is pretty stupid. That being said, let me know what you think.

Compared to lowering springs...

How's the ride on the new coilovers compared to the springs?

Honestly I haven't really put them to the test yet. I know for a fact they're going to ride better than the eibach sportlines. They were soft and bouncy as hell. These are much stiffer and you can tell with casual driving. I won't drive as hard with the setup as it is now. I need to do some fender modifications or raise it up a little.

Where did you find the spoiler, I see it mounts up to the factory holes.

Looking good man. Your roof looks like its begging to be wrapped in either satin black or a carbon fiber style vinyl as well as a rear spacer like previously mentioned.

One thing though, I think that your GE's stance looked better on springs than it is currently dumped. Maybe go back to around that hieght but with the front a tad lower to give it a raked look.

That's just me though, keep up the modding and if you think about getting rid of those CE28s let me know.

Thanks for the comments and compliments.

I think a 10mm spacer will be good in the rear. As crazy as it is, I can still go lower in the front, and will once I do some fender work. That will give it a better rake.

A cf roof is in order, just don't want to spend some $ for a while. I've spent a lot getting it where it is and am pretty happy for the moment. I'm working on a retrofit for the headlights, a full LED swap, and I have the JDP lip sitting in my room.
