Did some rough estimations on the parts alone, which comes to $5000 and I am sure I am not hitting everything. Then include the circuit breaker, 0awg wiring, and the amp that fried, there's another $1000. Labor is probably going to total the car out. So I may no longer be a fit owner, but I still love the cars.

Well I am going to try to avoid payments so it looks like if they total it I will not be in another fit.

This is what I am looking at for a replacement, and YES I know its the polar opposite of a Fit.

I always said that if my fit was totaled, I'd buy an old import junker and drive it til I had enough for my next car in cash.

Well the fit isn't totaled and there is no frame damage so hats off to honda for the crumple zones. The repairs are $7k, and $1k damage to my audio gear. All will be taken care of just have to now live without my car for another 3 weeks UGH.

My 09 GE is a totaled car, though you could never tell easily. I've had it 30k miles and drives like a new car. You won't be disappointed. Your tires are better than mine. Good luck with everything and hope there are no snags before you get your baby back.

Glad to hear everything worked out. On the upside the paint should be better than ever since factory Honda paint is pretty terrible.

Yeah the front end had bug scars (previous owner) and chips so now it will have not only better paint, thicker paint, but no more bugs/chips.

Just under 2 weeks for the car to be returned to me, scheduled date is the 19th. Saw the new hood and more parts today, I think they are only waiting on one part to start the reassembly.
