May not have my baby any longer :(

Well stop and go traffic is a PITA in my town and after over 20 years no accidents I had the unfortunate luck of being in one. Not sure on the damage costs yet, should know today or monday but I may lose my baby

She is at the shop now, and I am just totally pissed off and upset and without my baby. I hate this crap.

Can jump into a '12 if insurance plays nicely. Guess depends on cost to repair versus being totaled out. No injuries at all? I can't see if the bag deployed or not.

Sorry this happened.

No airbags deployed, as for the value after talking with the insurance rep I have done the leg work to see what they would pay if it was a total loss and I would get between $14000 and $15000. And honestly I hate brand new cars, I like them slightly used so I don't think I would do a 2012 Fit. I also still owe $6000 on mine so I would have to finance again and I hate financing, so I may just go with something older used and it will be paid for if they total it out.

Sad to see. There have been some other GE8's here that *appeared* to have less damage and were totaled. Regardless, I firmly believe a car is never the same after its wrecked. I personally would like a total (because you are still going to take a hit on insurance premiums) and buy a clean, straight used car...

Goodness. Sorry about your loss man. I know exactly how you feel. I actually got about $16,3 for mine and it was a 2010 base if that might give you an idea of what they might possibly give you.

No you see tires that have 15k left before the tread wear indicator is flush. I'm not that stupid, so take that HMM and go else where.

Ouch! Major bummer, Fit4Spl... Looks all superficial though. Engine bay seems ok, huh? So you rear-ended someone? No injuries I hope.

sorry to here about your accident, glad you are ok.
that looks like quite a bit of damage with no air bag deployment.

I see this type of accident almost daily here in L.A. on both streets and freeway. The traffic will go from a crawl to the posted speed limit and then stop suddenly.

Hope you get you another Fit if they total your baby.

they are the stockers, which perform as if they are bald, but you cant blame the op for that.

Glad to hear you're OK. Looks as if the crumple zones worked as designed and did a good job of protecting you.

who comes in to an accident thread and tries to trash the op? what a cunth. he must be blind... that or he spends a fortune on tires replacing them every 5k miles...

fit4spl glad you made it out ok and here's to hoping insurance will give you enough for a shiny new 2012!

So sorry to hear about your accident and just glad you were OK and able to walk away from it. Hope things will work out with the insurance company and you can get the car fixed or into something that you'll love just as much.

Oh yeah... when I lived in SD and visited LA, it drove me nuts, day or night... driving there was horrible.

And I was reminded of that during my road trip, when I cut in and out of LA.

to the OP... good luck, hope you get what you want out of the situation.
