Oh man, getting all the feels from this photo. I spent a lot of time at that track when I lived in SoCal.

I'm actually looking to race there in a few months!

I have not been to and on Streets in a long time, since my motorcycle days. The last time I was there it was barely a garage and a big empty lot for the pits. Are the accouterments better now?

Not much has changed; they did recently repave the track though!

I finally got around to installing my Mugen short shifter.
Here it is installed in the car:
Imo, this is a very nice improvement over the stock shifter. I'm super happy with this one.

Lol, it always seems to go that way. Those tires were on my list for the summer, they look awesome!! Great depth of field on the photos too!!!

I couldn't get the camera to focus on the "R." Photos were shot with a Nikon D3 and AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8 lens.

I am curious on your thoughts on those tires. They seem a little too auto-x oriented for everyday driving to me but maybe not. Are you daily driving on them?

Have you calibrated the lens? I shoot with a Pentax DSLR but have been working too much latly to do any. I use an old film Pentax for black/white which I highly recommend trying as it's lots of fun!!!

The tires will be used for daily driving as well as the race track.

I think your depth of field could've benefitted from being a bit wider, right now it is a bit too thin for my tastes.
Also manual focus is your friend if your cam won't focus. When I take pictures of my cat I have to use MF because a DARK black cat is really hard for camera's to focus on (I'm a Canon guy, 5D atm)

I tried manual focus as well, but I think my DoF was the problem here. The Canon 5D is a great camera; I love that thing! My dad actually used to have one, so I used it for a while.
