GE8 Turbo or Supercharger??

Are there any Turbo kits or Superchargers that are made for the GE8 Fit? Or, will any of the GD Turbo Kits fit in the GE8?

to the best of my knowledge, no FI kits for GEs at the moment...

and GD turbo kits will NOT fit GEs... GEs have an integrated exhaust manifold..

kit only gains 28hp at 0.4bar and no indication on how to tune in installation instructions (maybe thats why only 28hp?) also no price listed.

Yep, I remember the team of Filipino mechanics did this in Xiamen, China. This wasn't too long ago - less than 6 months ago as of this writing

Initially I wanted to say turbo, but now looking back I'd vote for supercharger. Supercharger is a much cleaner install, and its power delivery "fits" the Fit's characteristics perfectly.

i bet the price is around the range of 3k. the low hp increase is due to the assumption of lack of tuning.

just add 310cc injectors (might need fuel pump upgrade not sure) and a aem f/ic for tuning and a electronic or manual boost controller.

tune the a/f ratio with the aem, increase boost to a healthy 6-7psi and i think itll pump out a respectable 60-70hp(maybe more).

it not hard to tune turbos just have to watch out for too much boost on automatic trannys because youll have tranny failure due to too much torque. i know some guys and their GDs are boosting like 8-10psi on the stock block w/ manny trannys and having no problems.

I would do that if I had a GE. Seems to be the best option

Someone needs to make a roots blower for the GE8. Totally enough room on the front of the engine, and the gain in torque would be great. Plus you could still hypermile.

Just to show you the possibilities, this is the turbo GE8 I was referring to.

Philippines-based Equipt Racing/H3 Autoworks did this job in Xiamen, China. These photos were from 6 months ago (June 2009).

EVERYTHING was fabricated - there's no kit.
