Man I've been trying to get this for 2 weeks now

 

has anyone heard back from Matt on these headlights?

 

Well I'm not sure but I think I was the last one to here from him and the last thing he Told me was that he just finished Purhasing some oem set of headlights so he was gonna sell them for 700 but we were negotiating but he never got back to me after that and haven't heard from him since !!! I've been trying to get a hold of him so I can get these off of him but no luck ;(

 

i have a 2012 with 600 miles and i'm willing to trade plus the 500 that you're asking for!

 

I don't know what happened to this, the owner kinda disappeared, and this thread has kinda been dead for some time.

 

last i heard he had found a buyer or someone to trade.

HOLY CRAP - I'm so sorry about this guys, I sold my fit and had about 80 million things happen in life around that time. I really feel horrible about this.

Back to the lights, the lenses aren't in perfect condition. They appear to have some fogging on the inside that can't be removed easily. Everything else about these is still perfect condition, as described earlier in the post. I'll get some photos this evening.

As a summary, here's what will be included:
Toyota Bulbs and Ballasts
Full plug and play wiring
FX35 bi-xenon projectors fully integrated into '09 fit headlights

I'll honor the dibs that were called before, if any of those members are still interested.

Also - I'm lowering the price to $500, plus shipping - which is a STEAL! I don't have a fit anymore, so if I don't sell them, I'm ripping them apart for the projectors.

Here they are exactly as they sit in my basement. What I would do (if I were a buyer) would be to purchase these and swap out the lenses from my own lights. Please let me know if you have any questions.

 

Is there anyway to get ride of the haze with out replacing the lenses?

 

Not really sure, I didn't attempt that hard. Either way, the parts that are included would cost more than $500 to duplicate.

I've PM'ed everyone that was previously interested, and most of them have moved on (understandably). So these are open to whoever is interested. I'll even throw in shipping at my expense.

Who did the retrofit? Looks like micro-crazing which would seem to indicate something added to the lamp during the retrofit (adhesive? paint?) is outgassing from the heat of the lamps when they are on and attacking the polycarbonate lens.

 

I'd think so too, but only standard products were used for this retro. A bit of aluminum tape on the projector to stop light bleed and some jb weld to hold the shroud to the projector. Other than, it was bolted in for adjustability.

Anyway - first person to want these for $350 they are yours! You could sell the parts on hid planet for that much if you wanted!
