I have a jdm GE8 with oem hid. Will this work ?

Why would you replace HID with HID? the OEM ones are almost always better engineered.. ?? Just curious..

Mainly because the housing is the same although it uses a d2r bulb. With a quality projector shroud the distance of vision is much further.

Basically, I encounter the same windshield glare from time to time that I would in an ek9 with regular hids/ballasts.

I presume/hope vision distance would be nearly doubled with proper shrouds, also the clarity and distance of light will be better due to proper 'cut-off'.

Ah! Ok I was assuming the stock would be a projector,, Not very common to use reflector housings with HID from the factory... Too hard to meet DOT/TUV specs... Totally makes sense..
