Aftermarket Dampers for 09's
Hey, I would like to improve my ride without dropping the height(09 Sport). Anyone know of any aftermarket dampers that would take some of the harshness out of my ride. As I will never see a track I am hoping to avoid coilovers.
Thanks for any ideas |
How much are you willing to spend?
There really aren't any aftermarket dampers for the GE8 that aren't OEM replacement, as of yet, there are no adjustable dampers for the GE8. You could always get some new OEM dampers, and pay someone to revalve and rebuild them to your specifications. Although, I seriously don't recommend putting stiffer shocks on if you have a choice. Try some different tires if your car is harsh. |
Bump - Any updates to this thread???

i emailed Tokico and they dont have anything yet for the GE8. ideally i'd like to get some springs and some new shocks (either Tokico blues or Koni's) as i dont really need coilover's. anyone know of any aftermarket shocks for the 2009-10 Fit? thanks |
I believe T1R has dampers for our GE's but I haven't heard any reviews or seen much on the forum about it. Check A&J's site for the dampers though.

Thanks

Tokico & Koni have both confirmed no dampers yet (dont know if they ever will) for the GE. |

You can buy a set of Spoon Showa which are pricey but the ride is improved over stock. A few members are running showas on their GD's so you can read different reviews on their products. PM if you are interested.

I do not have the shock dynos for the showas. But how are you liking your Mugen Showas?
|
They're pretty nice. It's not a track shock, but it's a good trade-off between DD and track duty.

I'm planning on getting the J's Racing Showa set up for my GE.
|
So is it confirmed that GD dampers fit on the GE? I'm in need of shocks. If the Koni's for GD fit in the GE wouldn't that mean all GD shocks fit in the GE? since the length should be the same for all not just the Koni's.
|
I've had my Mugen GD3 shocks and springs on for over 15k miles now. No issues.
|
i'm assuming that if the coils fit a set of dampers from the GD should be fine too. Did u adjust ur spring rates on ur GD coils?
|
Koni doesn't have any shocks out for the GD or GE Fits.
Is anyone else running the GD shocks? I'm getting in a set of the J's Showa whenever it gets to me. |
