2010's come with rear swaybar?
I just picked up my 2010 sport yesterday. I looked under the rear of the car and did not notice a rear swaybar! On Hondas website it shows the specs on the fit (base/sport) and it shows the sport as having a rear 17mm swaybar! Is it hidden or should it be in plain view? Thanks in advance!

its not really a separate part.. its integrated within the torsion beam...
|
Ok. So if I were to add a progress 19mm rear swaybar would I have to uninstall the factory bar some way? If not what would combining the 17mm stock with the 19mm progress rear swaybar do as far as handling?
|
Sport sway is inside the beam and welded to the ends. Would be hard to see form underneath.

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/pict...pictureid=1063 I saw that bar running across and figured that's what it was! So if I were to buy the progress swaybar, I assume it would mount up to the bottom of the spring seats correct? |

The GD bars mount that way. I haven't seen an installed pic of the GE progress bar but the ultra racing bar mounts to the trailing arms which should be a simpler install. I thought somebody was making a smaller (16mm) bar to go better on the sport which already has a sway bar.
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/gaug...-sway-bar.html The ultra racing one looks similar to the progress one: The Progress Group - Anti-roll bars Honda Fit 09-10 Honda Fit Rear anti-roll bar |
I'm running the 19mm Ultra Racing Rear Sway Bar for months now and enjoy every minute of it. They offer both the 16mm and 19mm. The 16mm is for the US market while the 19mm is for the other GE's. I have no experience with the 16mm and since Progress was going with 19mm I just opted for the same.

How much difference in handling did you notice when you added the UR 19mm sway? |
I noticed a significant difference over stock.

...this RSB sounds like a simple mod...

Here is a thread that might answer these questions for you. Take a look at these posts: Review of the Progress Rear Swaybar for the '09 Fit The Install of the RSB, with pictures To my knowledge, this was the first production '09 Progress RSB shipped to the general public. |
I am running the Progress sway bar with the sport factory sway bar, turn in on the car is greatly improved with a nice heavy feel/response to the steering wheel.
I would recommend! |
I too am running the Progress sway...I agree with Baked 100%.
Significant difference in handling. |

i have an '09 base will the 19mm fit into a base '09? can u give the website where u bought the ultra rear sway bar DOES the '09 Base come w/ a stock rear sway bar? thNKS |
The base doesn't have a sway bar, but a twist beam by nature has the same effect as a sway bar.
It's so amazing to think that even the cheapest car in Honda's line can be had with front and rear sway bars... and 16" alloys for that matter. |
