From what I read in manual they are self adjusting. Only the parking brake has an adjustment. I could be wrong.

When replacing shoes they suggest pumping pedal to adjust.

Brake adjustment

The rear drum brakes on a Fit are just like the cars of the olden days... they have a star-wheel adjuster and star-wheel adjustment hole in the brake, covered by a rubber removable plug. They can be adjusted the same way, by using a small screwdriver (or better yet, the proper star-wheel brake tool) to turn the star-wheel one direction or the other. I don't have a photo post site set up right now. But, if you send me your email address I'll send you the pertinent pics of the assembly of the brakes from the service manual.

Wow, I haven't looked at mine but I thought those star-wheel brake adjusts went away already. Last rear drum brakes I dealt with was on my '92 Isuzu Rodeo. And though the adjuster was there as described by einstein77, it was also supposed to be self-adjusting.

If it applies to the Fit, then the self-adjusting brakes are supposed to adjust every time you back up and apply your brakes. Hmmm I need to check mine out and see if a small rubber boot cover is there for adjustment...

Just had a chance to peek under my rear axle. Saw 2 hole plugs where the star-wheel is supposed to be. Are these the holes you're talking about? Coz I remember an oblong-shaped (my '92 Isuzu Rodeo) hole where the star-wheel was accessible and adjusted either up or down.

According to the Service Manual they are oblong plugs located next to the brake cylinder bolts at the top of the brake assembly. Looks like a standard set-up I've seen thousands of times on drum brakes... no surprises here.
