Brake upgrade...Wilwood vs

After owning my Fit for about two months, I can officially say the stock brakes SUCK. They are so soft and bla it's crazy. I have been trying to decide between Wilwood's Brake kit and doing the Goodridge brake lines, hawk pads and slotted disks.. either way the fluid will be done. I decided against buying another truck, so I will be using the Fit to tow a 4x6 trailer for dirt bikes/quads and dump runs. I drive the car mildly hard, but most of the time I re frame from playing boy racer on public roads. What to do???

well I'd probably start by heading to the dealership and test driving a new fit. Invest and hour to doing an apples to apples comparison to see if your brakes are just tired or if the (new) stock brakes really just don't cut it for you.

It is bolt on. Get good pads.

maybe its the shitty OEM tires that come on these cars you are having a issue with. I never thought my OEM brakes where inadequate for a street car, though to be fair I never did tow anything with my Fit. I think just upgrading the pads and fluid would probable be enough for your braking needs.

Thanks for the responses guys..
Ben - I Test drove about 20 different fits before i settled on the one I purchased, they all felt similar in the braking department. Maybe it's different now that I am driving it for longer periods of time.
Wanderer - Thanks for the Type R upgrade link, I started calling different parts stores today to price everything out. I may try Brakemotive for the Rotors, I have had good luck with them in the past, in fact, I may try the power stop evolution pads that com with it for now.
MN- Wheels and tires are next on my list, I wish I could just make up my mind on which ones i want

To be honest the stock brakes are fairly good. I AutoX a bunch of races before upgrading. I even had a few other people race my Fit and were shocked to hear I was on stock brakes.

I upgraded to EBC yellow stuff pads and Ultimax slotted rotors. Huge improvement for low cost. There's a little more brake noise since it's a race pad but worth it. All I need to do now is SS lines and new drum shoes and it'll even better.

I upgraded to Centric rotors and Hawk pads with the OEM calipers and it made a big difference for me

Although, my Fit is CPO and I have a feeling the previous owner was pretty hard on the brakes.
