Parts needed for Coilover swap/install?

I've been prepping to buy my coilovers soon and I honestly want to do a direct swap to save time and replace possibly worn components. If someone could tell me what I typically would be removing from the stock suspension and installing on the new suspension? I keep reading "top hat"...is that it?

Here are the diagrams from HondaPartsunlimited...

Do I just need (2) of 2, 3, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, and 18 for the front?

And for the rear is it just (2) of 4, 6, 7, 9?

Also is this even worth while? It seems that the "new" shock (Part #4) will drop in and I'll have to install the assembly (4) then 3 , 13 , 14, 17, and 18 to the top of the dampener anyways? Maybe just buy 2, 8, 10, 11, 12, 19 since those install on the new suspension?

As for the rear....maybe its not even worth buying anything as I have to remove those items to remove the suspension period...

Most coilovers, don't need to reuse any OEM stuff so they drop right in

Unfortunately this is not the case for the Fit.

Unlike my 99 Civic which the suspension bolted to the chassis and coilovers would bolt/drop in, the Fit uses the top hats as a cushion/bearing that hold the shock to the body. Its just compression fitted so you have to remove the OEM parts and use them on the new coilovers. I'm just wanting to verify what I do in fact need.

For example the TEIN kit/website states "STREET ADVANCE Z and STREET BASIS Z use the vehicle's original upper mounts (not included in our product kit)." This is the case for bilsteins as well.

For the Tein Basis Z I had to use
13,14,18 front
6, 7,4 rear
and of course the bolts

The teins came with new nuts and collar spacer thing. I hope I'm not forgetting anything.

In the included Tein manual it tells you exactly which pieces you will be reusing so if you buy the coilovers you can open the manual and buy those pieces
This is going to vary by coilovers, of course. IE on my RSX I have Tanabe Pro-Fives and it included everything

Would you still happen to have access to your manual? I am going to buy those coilovers and want to get new parts. Bernardi is having a sale till the 17th and I haven't ordered the coilovers yet.

Lol Your lucky day I kept it it’s dirty was referencing it during the install. For front anything with two stars is a part you’ll need to order from honda and for rear everything with three stars is a part you’ll have to order.

I guess you do have to order the top collar nut too I was wrong about that (#17 from the pics in OP)
