so seriously, EVERYBODY says if i run 17x7 +38 im gonna rub? im stock now, but throwin some dropzone springs in a few weeks on. not a huge drop so im gonna rub?? cause i see people here claiming they dont with lower offsets than that? wtf/ is the big secrecy in wheel fitment on ge8's? its some seriously stupidly aggrravating shit! ive been looking at rims two+ yrs now and havent bought any cause theres no straight clear defined answer on what works and what does not! wheels are a pricey mistake to make when youre looking at the wheels im looking at! so wtf gives?? ready to give up and just stay stock. i mean seriously, i ran 16x8 +20 on my eg hatch and didnt even have to roll my fenders much less pull em! i will not do that to a 11mth old car!

that drop is pretty mild, so you should be alright. It really all comes down to the tire though. Unfortunately i can aide you with 17s as i run 16s right now. I saw some members run 16x7 +35 on 205/45/16 on a semi aggressive drop and they are fine, but those are 16s.

There seems to be a lot of talk on here and I can honestly say the current setup I have RUBS ALL THE TIME! I had 205/40/17 tires and put DZ springs on my Fit. Way too much GAP in the fender. I went with the Falken Ziex ZE-512 215/45/17 on my DR-33 wheels 17x7.5 +42 and had some poke up front. No RUB at all...

I then put on APEXi ExV Coilovers, lowered them ALL THE WAY DOWN and had to remove the spacers from the rear due to rubbing the letters off the tire, and front Rubs on any bump hard turn, and on hard bumps the tread hits the fender liner hard! Most of it is gon now, and I will trim the remains...

PS for those who care DR-33 are HEAVY 20Lbs!

On the Drop Zone springs this is how it looks with the Falken Ziex ZE-512 215/45/17 Tires NO RUB

I don't understand why people keep buying 215/45-17's and in one sentence saying "I want meatier tires" and then in the next "They rub all the time!" 215/45-17 is just too big for our cars without doing fender mods i.e. roll and pull.

205/40-17, 205/45-17, or even 195/45-17 are all better choices and within 0.6" of height difference from the factory 185/55-16 stockers.

Read my previous post... I did not rub until I went lower than the lowering springs. On DZ springs I DID NOT RUB with the Falken XD-512 215/45/17. I did not rub until I got my coil overs for MOAR LOW... :D

You should clarify with your wheel specs and tire size and springs/coils and say -rubbed or did not rub beside it.

Your post is confusing.

Ray731 03-14-2012 02:02 PM

Fixed my post by adding rub no rub comments to the pics for clarification.

Are there no center caps for the RPF1?

I was supplied some faux CF caps for my PF01 but I covered them in vinyl.

I got the wheels off craigslist and they didn't come with caps. Not sure I would've put them on anyway, and I'm definitely not paying $25 a piece for the caps even if I wanted to.

That money is going toward project mu lug nuts. : D

16x8+24 all around on 195-45-16 !

krunk13 03-25-2012 05:17 PM

Damn that seems kinda agressive fitment wise. Sometimes I wish the Fit was RWD or at least ran a lower offset from the factory. what was honda thinking with +53mm offsets.

spunkysandoval 04-27-2012 04:17 AM

No fender work and no rubbing at all

MEATBABY 04-27-2012 07:12 AM

Looks nice. I don't think anyone would worry about rubbing with 16s and the mild drop of the eibachs.

TE's in similiar offsets arent convex at all. Pardon my blasphemy, but those look better.

True, but the 16x8 te37 does concave at +18 offset and it is sexy!

http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/atta...igefrontte.jpg

too bad it is such a low offset. My ideal wheel would be a 16x9 +40 offset. Does anyone make something like that?
