hot wheels! are you dropped on anything or just stock susp?

Java^FiT Aug 18, 2010 01:19 PM

I am not dropped yet but I am going to do a modest lowering maybe 1.3" i dont wanna be too low because of the winter and crappy roads in my area. also im waiting for more cash to get springs.

Heres a good Question for all of you though...

What does everyone do about the TPMS sensors??? I know they are in the stock ones but do you usually take em out before you sell those or do you buy new ones and if so where do you get them from. Do you absolutely need these???

DreaMv Aug 18, 2010 01:52 PM

i like them... just please dont leave the fit looking like a 4x4! put some swift springs on there before u even get the wheels...

Java^FiT Aug 18, 2010 03:00 PM

haha i hear ya, ok this may seem like a really pathetic question but i dont care at this point lol, what springs out there are blue? haha just curious

hondaFORlife Aug 18, 2010 03:02 PM

Nankang.. ew.. tires are one of the most vital part to your ride .. I'd consider a better tire.
The rims look pretty nice tho

ATLfit10 Aug 18, 2010 03:26 PM

the T1R s-coils are blue and are pretty modest of a drop

haha ok i thought they were pretty good. how about nexen?

Java^FiT Aug 18, 2010 05:00 PM

Can i get some people's opinion on the T1R S-Coils????

What does everyone think of these?

hondaFORlife Aug 18, 2010 05:01 PM

I stick with the major brands. I've had friends with those cheap tires and there's always an issue. Bubbles, premature wear, excessive road noise, etc.

Java^FiT Aug 18, 2010 08:35 PM

springs

These arent that modest and they are also progressive style. Compared to Swift Springs which are F -1/ R -1.5 the T1R s-coils are F&R -1.5 to -1.75

Would love to see some images of the difference. Would i have rubbing with the rim and tire setup above with the T1R's??

If I were you I would skip on those tires and try and find some higher quality Bridgestone, Goodyear, Yokohama, Michelin, Continental etc...

TahitianGreen Aug 19, 2010 01:36 PM

Avoid Nexen and Nankang at all costs IMO

and why do you care if the springs are blue? you can't see them......

just personal preference, I know that they are there and thats pretty much the reason haha.

I am probably going with the Nexen N5000's as far as tires go because I have heard 90% good things about them and only a few random complaints, but if anyone can give me more input on springs i would really appreciate it.(whether i should go with prog's or standard and what is closer to the 1" drop range as I do not wish to go too low)

Well I am getting these rims from wheelfire.com and they dont have many options as far as tires go wehn getting them with the rims and if i dont get tires ill have to pay shipping and lugs and balancing and mounting. so id rather get some Ok/Good tires now and later on I can find other ones but for now im gonna do the nexens unless someone can tell me if falken ze-502's are good or not...

TahitianGreen Aug 19, 2010 03:44 PM

Not great tires, but worlds better than those nexens/nankangs

SleepyJonDu Aug 19, 2010 04:17 PM

go with toyo proxes 4 tires, i have heard only good things about them, and there are a bunch of reviews for them on either tirerack.com or 1010tires.com, i cant remember which i saw them on...
