don't steal my wheels please!

just bought these for my new wheels

Amazon.com: Gorilla Automotive 61631 Acorn Guard Locks (12mm x 1.50" Thread Size) - Pack of 4: Automotive

anybody have experience with them? did some research before purchasing and i heard they were the best wheel locks due to the spinning outer sleeve.

What I want to know is why Amazon's Part Finder tool says of this item:

"This product does not fit your 2012 Honda Fit"

Amazon seems to only recommend the OEM wheel locks. Does anyone know why? I will have to park my Fit on the street here in Boston, so i want to get some wheel locks for it. (Haven't taken delivery of the car yet. 2012 Sport AT.)

Lug nuts are designed for certain style seats built into the rim. Not by model. Oem locks are a ball seat most aftermarket locks and nuts are conical and wont seat properly.

I wouldn't waste money on locking lugs. Most of the keys are the same and wont stop anyone who steals wheels regularly. You're better off with a quality alarm that has shock sensors.

Yeah, these won't fit the Fit's original wheels. I actually bought this set, but only because I now have aftermarket wheels.

This set has the free-spinning sleeve. Gorilla only makes a more generic wheel lock (no sleeve) for the original wheels.

op: your wheels are gonna fall off

Tilt sensors would be more appropriate.

Just picked up my Fit Sport today, and the dealer threw in a set of Honda wheel locks for free!

I know these locks are next to useless against dedicated thieves, but I still feel better knowing they are there.

If I can find a set of aftermarket locks that fit the stock wheels, I think I will add them too.
