maximum tire diameter

Hello. Has anyone put 195-60-R16 tires on their 2nd Gen Fit (4.6" sidewall)? Will they fit the Fit? This increases the tire diameter to a whopping 25.2" from the stock 24" at 185-55-R16 (4.0" sidewall).

I currently run a 195-55-R16 that came on the car (4.2" sidewall and 24.4" diameter). I am looking to increase the sidewall height on my tires to improve ride comfort a little bit. This winter I ran 195-55-R15 on 15 inch wheels (4.6" sidewall and 24.2" diameter) and had a noticeable improvement in ride quality.

I am aware of additional tire roll, especially at the initiation of turns, but gravel road camp trips and our many potholes make the higher sidewall a nice option. I am aware it will change the speedometer reading. I will eventually go to coilovers to improve ride quality - but not today.

I saw no other posts on maximum tire diameter. Cheers,

you're gonna lose about 1 inch in the fender gap. keep in mind, alot of people are on lowering springs, and lower by an inch or 1.5 inch. most of them are able to get away with no rub

I think you should be fine. please report back, if you do end up going through with it
