J'S RACING GK5 FIT C304 SUS exhaust system Riateru 50R
Ordered from Japan (From Here), this exhaust system came in and I had it installed. I will be adding pics as time goes on. It 'fits' without any modification or issues. It definitely is louder than stock and is not for everyone. I currently have the silencer removed.
Here is some info from measurements I took and weight info. Muffler weight is 7.6lbs (Setup I had previously was 12.2lbs) Inlet size: 45.33mm I.D. (1.785") Exhaust Tip size: 74.02mm I.D. (2.914") Silencer inlet/outlet diameter: 35.64mm I.D. (1.403") ***Silencer opens up to 70.71mm I.D. (2.784") to fit inside exhaust tip outlet. Silencer weight is 100grams (3.5oz) https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/87...901/u7O6Wu.jpghttps://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/87...537/yqSXsR.jpghttps://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/49...911/n6L2Y5.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/87...910/9tPyOa.jpg Muffler Inlet: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/49...661/SpJp0c.jpg Muffler Oulet with Silencer: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/87...673/WJ12RW.jpg Muffler Outlet without Silencer: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/49...540/13I6nx.jpg Silencer Pics: https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/49...913/QxMq8Y.jpghttps://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/24...901/TnYaTs.jpg |

That is a thing of beauty. I can't believe the mailman just dropped it off on your doormat like that.

I just sat it out there like that to take some quick pictures. |
Haha, yeah just kidding. Is there a name for that color gradient on the metal? Always love that look.

Looks good. Not to bulky and it has a mild down turn tip. Two hangers like OE, somethime I wish my Bisimoto had. I don't know why it only has one. The silencer option is nice.
How's it sound? |

How's it sound? To me, the extra sound isn't justified because it doesn't significantly outperform the larger Flo Pro Max muffler I had installed on it. That may be due to the flow pro max muffler had the stock inlet piping attached to it (which is pretty damn good). It is lighter, looks better, sounds 'better' (To those that love extra sound). Probably exclusive somewhat since J's mufflers on the older model Fits put people in the muffler elite :rotfl:. Will see what happens in the fall when temps drop down to the 30's again. I'd just get a freer flowing muffler on the stock exhaust system and call it the day if I had to do it all over again. I ran the fastest time I have by simply doing that. I do like the muffler though. It's different than any other muffler that I have ever had (Visually). |
How did you figure out the site to order it? I can tell you I have no clue what any of that means

The part is not supported the way I did it but that is the chance I take. I have no patience waiting on the aftermarket. :o |
Nice! And liking the inlet size. :D

This is my plan, but I'm not sure what diameter would net the fastest time.

Personal recommendation is 2". 2.5" is just louder. 2.25" may be the best compromise but 2" is sufficient from a performance standpoint while keeping noise down. Anything beyond an intake and/or an exhaust may require going larger than 2". Just my input but others may feel differently.

hmm. I don't mind noise since it's a honda. LOL. I would like to have enough noise so i can hear it on my go pro without the use of an external mic. do you have any of your "test" mufflers left around?

Yes! I'll be having it installed back on shortly for a while. The wifey decided she finally wants to drive and is getting her license. She'll be driving Misfit so I have to quiet him down for a while. :(

You can thank Imageshack for disabling the links to the pics. Too cheap to pay for their services though.

Lately I've been attaching pictures to the forum software. It's much easier than uploading on an external site, and then linking back here.
