3rd Gen GK Specific Fit Engine Modifications, Motor Swaps, ECU Tuning Sub-ForumThreads discussing engine mods/swaps/tuning for the third generation GK Honda Fit.
I have been looking at eveything on these for several months and looks like all you would need to customize would be a downpipe to stock exhaust and intercooler piping and intake from the turbo.
Most important thing is no ecu will accept a turbo for tuning purposes, so until Ktuner can run turbo or Flashpro is out we have to wait for any projects.
bump - i want boost. ktuner has cracked our ecu, so this is a possibility now. im having trouble finding any totalled 1.5T Civics to grab parts from unfortunately
Jk that's a terrible thing to say about such a good car. But I would trust this one over the flood damage one you had posted before. This gives me hope for this route of getting a turbo in.

Yeah, I wouldn't touch the flood damaged one either. Just interesting to see that they are starting to pop up salvaged.
@Myxalplyx I've been reading your posts. Thanks for pioneering the aftermarket availability for the GK. I've touched base with Hasport about K swap mounts. Just waiting on confirmation the mounts have been tested on our chasis already. If you come up with a turbo L15 alternative though, I'll subscribe to that. The turbo 1.5 Civic performs nicely it seems.
Thanks, to everyone pushing on with mods.

2017 CR-V is getting the turbo L15 as well, but with 190hp and 179lbs! ...mated to a CVT though...
True, but the tranny isn't such a big deal for this swap. Plus it's another year or more of waiting for salvaged ones (depending on people's driving lol).
On the plus side, once someone cracks the ECU and analyzes the engine setup, we can figure out why and how the CR-V makes more power than the Civic and hopefully use that to our advantage (if it's in the programming).
Since I knew of the civic turbo with the L15 engine name as our fit I figure swapping parts would be a good way of making turbo our car, problem is that nobody seems to be willing to take hands on doing it...
So I decided to take up the matter and venture on this path, not without involving all who have that same concern, and perhaps with your help we can discover the best way to make it possible.
With that on the table as a first step I leave here a couple of pics comparing exhaust outlets from the stock downpipe with catalytic converter vs civic turbo and sizes on both of them to figure out if it would fit.
Can I join into that room???? I have valuable information
I will be retiring my Fit within a month or so. I plan on getting a 2017 Honda Civic LX Hatchback. CVT of course. I'm already starting trouble on the boards.
My car is already back to stock. Minus the cams and NST pulley, which I'm not paying for to get removed.
It's been great being here in the forums with you guys. I had fun over the years. It seems kinda dead in this forum though and this car seems to be a great platform to work with. The engine anyways.
