Also interested. Just the issue of CA smog cert every two years when needed kinda ruins it. Exhaust mods and engine tunes are one thing, but to swap an engine every couple years to be able to drive it on the road maybe a little too much for me.

Well, there is always the "track car" option.

Was curious, so I emailed Axion. They said they will no longer be doing the K swap but will be doing a 10th gen Civic Turbo swap.

"Going a whole new route with the car, working on our 9th gen first with the J swap

We will be swapping in a 10th gen civic turbo engine into the fit"

Interesting! I don't know if it's related, but Hasport/FastBrakes is supposed to be working on a 10th Gen 1.5turbo swap into a GD. Maybe that's going to be the new popular route?

I was more interested in the K-swap, because from what I understand it could be emissions legal in some states due to it keeping the stock configuration, whereas a 1.5T swap would not.

We decided to do the 10th gen Turbo as parts engines and trans are going to be so available with the amount being made and it makes great power with a fuel bolt ons. 265whp and 330tq very daily driveable. We will be spending most of our time right now on our J swap into our 9th gen Civic as this has never been done.

I've seen a few swaps in Asia...looks like a tight fit, but so nice when it's done. Wish you guys luck and looking forward to updates.

We aren't doing it for now, going to try and get some more mods done for the standard engine and see what it can push full bolt ons and E40 fuel

We just installed the Rv6 catless downpipe on our car and will be working with Ktuner on a base map so people can have something that will work nice with the Ktuner. I think we are going to also play around with e40 blend and see if we can push the car a little more N/A power

Comn Axion, this should have been done a long time ago. Stop wasting time and continue with your swap plans. What ever it is L15BT, K24z7, K20C1, etc... The US market is waiting for a swapped GK chassis, you can corner the market! Work with Hasport, KTuned, Hondata and get this show on the road! You have the resources, make it happen. I'll be disappointed if the result were just a mere 7HP increase via Catless DP+KTuner... hit 15HP+ and you just might get the community's respect again!

All comes down to money, we are putting about $30,000 into our Civic and that comes first, if anything gets swapped into the Fit, it will be the 10th gen Civic or J series

^^^^This is all it needs. Keep it simple! You manual guys can get a cam regrind from Deltacams and then a tune with Ktuner. STILL no-one here has gone this route and it's available. I had both but couldn't take advantage of the higher cam profile due to my CVT. A manual though....no reason it can't be done.

Well some updates on the car

Hydrolocked the motor here with a bad rain storm, so it appears the swap is coming way sooner than I thought. I have the K24z here but ecu wise and how affordable these L15 turbo motors will be seems the better route, especially with Honda making over 220,000 of them this year. Going to be looking for a motor and trans from the 10th gen Civic and will update soon

Its going to be an affordable and smog legal rocket for most people to do, so it totally makes sense to get this going and have a kit for people
