Headlight issues

Left headlight has been randomly going out sometimes fine for a couple days sometimes just a couple hours if I unplug it from behind the headlight assembly and plug it in a few seconds later it seems to go back on every time. The inside of the plug seems to have some sort of Gunk inside of it is that grease? meant to be there it's like a plaque like consistency?

Sounds like someone put some dielectric grease on it. Maybe wipe that off as it's shorting on something?

You can also try swapping bulbs from the other side and see if the issue persists.

I don't know why I didn't think of that but that's an excellent idea I will try that

Mine also came with dielectric grease in the headlamp connectors FWIW.

thanks Gary now if it weren't 30 degrees and snowing right now I'd be out swapping the headlight bulbs I'll have to try that but I really do think it is that wiring and it's on a fuse not a breaker so I don't understand why I can unplug it and plug it back in and it works every time but then turn the car off and turn it back on 10-15 minutes later and that left headlight is up every time little stuff that annoys me I had my Chevy Spark for two years and not a single problem and that was a Daewoo product what gives

Maybe the curve in the windshield is the reason why the line always end up in the corner of the glass, and always start from where the sun is located?

Is this an OEM windshield? On my last beater, had the windshield replaced with a chinese glass... Wow, that was crap! There was so many imperfections in the glass...and it looked super old in around just one year.
