why won't my 2017 start when I push the "ignition" button
I've had this car for about a year and this week, for the third time, the car does not start when I push the "ignition" button. I think there's a red light on the dash but I am clueless that it doesn't start then I am doing what I always do to start the vehicle. I'll wait a few minutes then try again; foot on the brake, car in "park", everything just as it was before - and it will fire up. I don't know what I've done differently to get it to start, or what I've done wrong when it decides not to start. Is this a "kill" switch that's being activated or something? I'd appreciate any feedback on this as I'm afraid it will leave me stranded somewhere someday. I hope I'm not the only one that's experienced this. Thanks to the community!
There's a 9 year extended warranty on the keyless start/stop switch for many 2015-2017 Fits. This could be your problem. Check to see if your vehicle is eligible for switch replacement.
