Keyless entry system issue, please help!
 

Dealership won’t help, running out of ideas myself. I have a karr alarm system that works perfectly but is being blamed for the malfunction of my keyless entry system for my ‘16 Fit. Transmitter and receptor work, as the immobilizer functions well (car will start when the key is in the car but not when the key is not in the car). It does not even need to be held close to the on/off button to start the car. The alarm system also works well, and has never had issues. The alarm system was installed at the time of purchase, and the car was new when purchased. It took 4ish years for the keyless entry to stop working, at which point neither the door handle sensor nor pushing the button on the door result in anything happening.

this is even being blamed for a light in my middle console/gear shifter being out. I have a really hard time believing that these are connected problems as nothing else in the car is affected at all, and they didn’t fail at the same time.

anyone have any ideas? I really don’t want to pay 600$ to have a perfectly functional alarm system removed when they can give me no reason for why they believe that to be the issue (ie, cannot explain any troubleshooting steps they’ve taken to rule out any other causes) first.
