Terse display on music player

My 2019 Fit LX used to automatically display the album/song/artist information -- a few weeks ago, it stopped showing any of that, and when I'm playing music from my phone, it just displays the clock. (The usual selection menus still appear, so I can start something up.) I've been going through all the menus, trying to find some display setting I might have accidentally changed, but can't seem to find it. My next thought was, does the car automatically download software updates, but that's probably not the case. Anyone know where the menu option is, to go back into "verbose" mode for music?

I don't know, either, but I had my 2017 LX for about a year before the display changed the other way -- from terse to verbose. Weird. Must be something in the Settings menu. I like it this way, though, so I'm going to leave it alone lol

Still can't figure it out. But I did notice that when I press the SEL button, the verbose display appears for about 1/10 sec, then goes right back to terse! Doesn't matter if I hold the button in, all I get is 1/10 sec. Guess you have to be quick, with this thing....

Just to follow up, the full music display is back -- and I have no idea why! The only thing I can think of is that lately,. I've been turning Bluetooth off (on my iPhone) at night, then turning it back on the next day. This may have reset something, in the way it transmits data to the Fit. Because I failed to find anything in the media settings, in the Fit's music player, that would bring back the full "verbose" display. But when I started the car yesterday and it paired with my phone, the display was back! So it can be done. Somehow!

I was wondering the same thing and I believe it's linked to your brightness button, I had the same issue. Cycling through the brightness mode will let you change brightness levels for day/night and limit the display mode. I actually like the limited display when I'm just listening to the radio. My brother's 2008 media display was so bright I wish it had that feature.
