Yes, there is a bunch of good info...thank you.
The one thing missing is the scheduled Release date. When will we be able to see it, sit in it, and buy it??? |
hurmmmm
Im not sure why or where there is an increase in weight as the trim levels go up ... LX EX EX-L
Curb Weight (lbs, MT/AT) 2513 / 2544 2573 / 2630 NA / 2642 THEM ARE SOME LARGE NUMBER JUMPS. I can only imagine what the sport will weigh. |

From my operative, Canada is not getting a Sport version. It appears your versions will be DX (no A/C), LX, EX & EX-L. US does not have a DX for the GK. Hope that helps. Our US dealerships have or will soon have GK units on the ground ready for retail sales. Canada won't get any till August (from what I'm told). Info is unofficial but comes from a reputable source (mgt. from the largest Canadian Honda dealership who attended the GK dealer's reveal 1st week of April in San Antonio). |
Finally got to see the features list and even the LX has most of the features that I wanted, like the auto-headlights, LED brakelights, and of course Bluetooth/backup camera.
Wish the LX has the SMS text function like it does on the Civic and the CR-V... Aren't they the same 5 inch screen though? |

What function are you talking about? One thing I can do in my 2012 Fit while my Windows phone is connected via bluetooth is get texts voice read to me when I'm driving, and respond via talk text. It's amazing and makes it possible to safely answer texts while driving - hands free. It's not something I do often because not many people text me, but it's a feature that I would have to confirm is supported in the 2015 EX-L.
I have it on my 2013 Accord. It basically reads your text messages while you're driving and if you're parked, it shows the messages. It's useful, but it can be distracting. And it says that it's standard on the EX and EX-L. |
Oh that's a bit different. I think the ability to speak to respond a whole message through the fit navi is more a function of Windows phone capability. I'll try it when I test drive a 2015.

But in regards to the EX and EX-L, I'm not sure if it works with Androids since they say that the Hondalink is only for iPhones for now... |

It definitely DOES'nt. For now, at least. Posts on other threads seems to be hopeful that an Android update will reveal itself in the near future.:D:D:D

One thing the 13 Fit has over the 15 is the rear turn signal lens. On the 13 Fit, they are amber in color. They're red on the 15. I always think that the amber lights are easier to see and are a safety factor. If you have a red lens for all the tailights and the turn signal is on, it's harder to see. I didn't realize it was all red in the new Fit until I saw a video. Kinda disapointed me. Udder than that, I like the new car.

Maybe that will encourage me to get the JDM rear lights, then. EDIT: And if you watch the video with the red Fit driving around, it's a damn small turn signal in the rear, too. |
I am going to purchase the 2015 fit in the next couple of weeks hopefully. (The sooner the better). If and when android phone compatibility becomes available how will I update my car systems? Will I have to go to the dealer and have them update it or will an update be available online that I can somehow download?

The Honda handsfreelink compatibility check site now has the 2015 Fit listed and it shows a bunch of android phones as now compatible. Whether they support all the Honda link features I am not sure, but this was only showing iPhone a couple months ago for the same system in the new Civic and now has several phones shown as compatible.
