Wife's '09 was totaled so we got a '15!
My wife was stuck in traffic and was clipped by some guy pulling a trailer, then rear ended and pushed into a '13 Accord in front of her. She was not injured at all, just a bit sore for a couple weeks after. We decided to take the insurance money and get a '15. We absolutely love it so far, even though the "infotainment" system already has to be replaced by the dealer. Anyways, here are some photos:
And the new car (plus my GE):

Truly a Fit family with a his/hers in the garage. That red looks sharp!!!
As for the infotainment being replaced, glad your dealer jumped on the replacement immediately.
Post your impressions when you can and big congrats on the new family member!!!!

Glad she's OK, that's the important thing. Reassuring to see how well the passenger compartment maintained its integrity. No doubt the new one is even more robust.
By the way, I can't even tell what kind of car the brown one behind her was! Malibu?

Thanks everyone! We both agree that the most important thing is that she is ok. The car definitely did its job. The engine was pushed back almost a foot and the rear storage compartment was completely crumpled. All of the seats in the vehicle were undamaged. I believe if there were passengers in the back seat they wouldn't have been injured. Most likely sore, and picking glass out of their hair for a few days, but uninjured. I believe the car that rear ended her was a Ford Fusion. Not entirely sure about the model, but I know it was a Ford. All the cars were cleaned up before I arrived to pick her up (Had to travel the opposite direction on the highway for 8 miles to turn around and sit in the traffic caused by the accident).
We absolutely love the new Fit. I think it is much quieter than the GE, but then again I have a CAI and axle back exhaust... I can't believe how much more leg room they squeezed into the back! Especially without compromising storage space (with the seats up) all that much. The styling is brilliant and all the new features are very functional. I am especially healous of her moonroof and steering wheel controls. One of the biggest complaints I've heard on the forum is about the center armrest. My wife loves it though! She says it is comfortable and the storage is awesome, as is the extra 12V and USB input.
The infotainment unit only worked for a couple days after we bought. 90% of the time she will start her car and the HondLink screen pops up. Then a little white bar pops up with the works "Preparing Program Update" which is quickly followed by "00000006". It then freezes there. Anything related to the infotainment unit will not work then. No radio or camera feeds. When she puts the car in reverse or activates the turn signal the screen turns black and then the HondaLink screen with the numbers pops up again. The dealership said that this is the first time they have seen this problem with the Fit (and '13 Civic which uses the same system). They tried troubleshooting but ultimately are replacing the unit.

Sorry to hear about her Fit but glad it did it's job and protected her. That was a bad accident. Congrats on your new Fit - glad to see she got another one and is back on the road.
