EXHAUST 3rd gen fit thoughts...

Contemplating over proper fitment and types of exhaust for our FIT/JAZZ/GK5. I want the silent Hi-Power but after some research it appears it is not designed for CVT models. Other systems are available but they are located oversees for the 2014 JAZZ (Hybrid, RS, and other variant models)

I'd love to see if anyone has PICS on their exhaust/muffler/tip setup for their 3rd gen FITS :thumbups:

HKS Cool style and Silent Hi-Power.
Nur-Oval Ti (very extreme:ohnoes:)
Fujitsubo (expensive)
FEEL's Sonic (generic types IMO :o)
CORSA TiR (won't fit ours)

Thanks for including all the videos. I looked over the stock exhaust piping and the bends, diameter etc look pretty darn good. I only question the muffler's internals and am curious if the piping is straight through (which I doubt) or not.

Otherwise, I have nothing else to add. I'll likely change my stock muffler out to an aftermarket one of my choice.

Apparently, MT and CVT tranny differs in piping. Thanks for your input and best to you on your custom. Please post a photo of your finish work :vtec:

Other than looks, I don't think the sound is worth bothering with. It sounds just like a '95 Civic with any of the ones shown. This is no hot rod, and unless you have more money than Trump, you aren't going to make it one. Now, if the nimrods in Japan would put an Si engine in it...Yahoo!! But, if you want the looks, go for it.

Fit2010,

I posted info about my exhaust here --> 2" Hi Flo Pro Max

It's nothing to write home about as it is quiet. Just the way I like it. Sounds no different than stock actually which shocked me.

I'm doing a lot of reading on exhaust diameters and am stuck on 2" vs 2.25". I keep reading conflicting info but nothing to show actual results. Only theories and talk. Still like coming back here and looking at the videos to hear the exhausts. :thumbups:

I also like that HKS Hi Power Silent, does anyone know how different the piping is between the CVT and manual? Its an axleback, I'd find it hard to believe there's a difference at all but who knows.

My exhaust is finished.

Here is the whole exhaust breakdown!
1) 2" J's Racing Cat Delete Pipe,
2) 2.5" B-Pipe (Midpipe),
3) 2.25" Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator,
4) 2.25" Xlerator Muffler,
5) 2.25" Hi Pro Flow Max Muffler

Link to it is below in my signature 'Myxal Reducing 2.5" to 2.25" Catback Exhaust'.

Does anybody have confirmation that the piping differs? I only ask because logically speaking, why would they modify piping from the axle-back between a CVT and manual on a FWD car?

I'm seriously considering special ordering the HKS Silent Hi Power and taking my chances (and modifying it when it comes in as needed). Although I would like to know how different the piping is?
