Washed, clayed, applied decals and applied Blackfire Crystal Seal. So shiny and silly. Water beads up now, and I can see myself.

That looks beautiful! What do you mean by claying?

Claying is after wash, you go over the car with detailing clay to remove any contaminants like brake dust, sap or bugs. Google 'how to clay your car'. Gets it really really clean so you can apply sealant or wax. The junk will corrode your paint if left in, the clay removes it without scratching.

Nice stickers. I also like the Apple sticker on the back.

LOL. Awesome job!

Cool, I googled it and see the ultra fine clay with lubricant is the way to go.

Thanks,

Susan

I picked the Blackfire Crystal Seal by online reviews. Seems to be terrific stuff. An 8 oz bottle does 40 cars, so I won't need another bottle for years, even if I apply every two months. Only takes one spray per panel, apply very thin with microfiber applicator pad. I'm too old for all that buffing stuff with wax. UV protects and seals. Hoping it will help prevent my stickers from fading. I love being able to wipe the bugs off easy. So shiny car looks like it belongs in a car show! Alloy wheels are super shiny now, too.

What are all of the surfaces you put the sealant on? That is interesting that it goes on the paint and the aluminum wheels. Do you put it on the plastic lights and windows too?

Thanks,

Susan

Yes. It goes over whole car. Lights, windows, turn signal mirrors and all. Makes it all glossy and water runs off. Gunk is easy to remove.

As described on Amazon:

Advanced polymer film outlasts other spray sealants
Protects paint, glass, metals, and hard plastics from dirt, oil, UV rays, and moisture
Dries crystal clear and streak-free
Requires no buffing
Extremely concentrated 8oz

I wonder if this is the stuff dealerships charge hundreds of dollars to apply to your car?

Likely, or something similar. I am really impressed. I thought the car was shiny with nothing applied. Now it looks spectacular. And super easy to apply.

When I heard you called it "Spongebob", I thought you would have gone all out with the personification of your car - giant decals of "square pants" along the sides, a tie on the front hood, etc. :)

(I need to take pics of my BatgirlMobile to post)
