2015 Fit Head Lamp Condensation
 

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums. I just took delivery of my '15 Fit EX Manual w/ 28 miles.

I'll be bringing the car back to the dealership this weekend to have a few accessories installed (splash guards, window visors) and for the removal of that horrid pinstripe. While it's there, I'm hoping to have them take a look at the headlights as I am noticing some condensation building up inside of the lense.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I got my LX on Sept 6. I just checked my headlamps, using bright flashlight and see no indication of condensation.

They are still pinstriping cars? Lucky it's just a piece of tape so it comes off easily.

there should be vents built in to the headlights. that would help normalize the humidity between the headlight and the outside. try to run the headlight and the heat from the lamps should evaporate the condensation and it will go away.

I recently drove over 1,000 miles in 2 days with some very heavy rain during long stretches both days. When I reached my final destination I noticed some moisture in one headlight and both signal lights. It had me worried, but the next day I checked them after the car sat in the sun for just a few hours and all the moisture was totally gone.

I had search on here about the headlight condensation on the 2015 fits. We bought three fits from DCH Paramus Honda and all three have condensation. We have already brought them in for services and they agreed to replaced all the headlights on all the fits.
Make sure you take pictures of the headlights when they have condensation to present it to them when you take it in just in case the headlights look normal.
They must know about it because it took them 5 minutes to decide and place the order for the now backordered headlights.

Here is a photo of the condensation that's been there for the past 5 days. It seems to not go away even after driving with the lights on to heat up the housing.

That's exactly the same thing I had. Those lights are supposedly vented somehow. Try parking it in direct sunlight and see if that works.

I have the same thing and it's normal so it says so in the manual.
I would be worried if it stayed that way, it still brings concern. I was concerned and I'm still looking out to see if it stays that way but it says it's a normal function in the headlight housing in the manual. Page 402 "Fogged Exterior Light Lens" under >>Cleaning>Exterior Care section.

Both my rear tail light have condensation.

now tail lights don't usually condensate...

Yeah, no condensation here but I live in SoCal.

Rain is a foreign substance that we don't deal with much.

Sounds like you need to have some service performed :)

Mine was like that when I bought it. I had condensation in both headlights and the left taillight. I suspect it was from sitting in transit and on s car lot over the winter, as it disappeared after a couple of weeks of driving and hasn't returned.

Well, almost. I noticed condensation in the left taillight again last month. Since then it has disappeared again.

Sure. I just washed my car and the head and tail lights have condensation in them. It passes in 20 minutes or so. The manual says it's normal, and that's been my experience.
